Q1:- What did the narrator observe when he looked out?
Ans:-The narrator observed that the clouds had cleared and the sun had also come out. The rain drops were falling from the awning of the window. While watching the beauties of nature, he saw drops of water dripping and sliding down the chili plants which had grown quite tall and were sporting red chilies
Q2:- Why was the narrator unable to pay attention to what his daughter was saying?
Ans:- The narrator was unable to pay attention to what his daughter was saying because he was busy enjoying the beauties of nature and his attention was centered on the rain drops . He was so lost in them that he did not pay any attention to what his daughter was saying.
Q3:- Why did the narrator have a tiff with his wife?
Ans:-The narrator’s wife had prepared tea for him. Since the narrator was lost in his own musings, he didn’t respond to his wife’s call. Thus, his wife got irritated and started shouting at him. This annoyed the narrator and he too responded to his wife bitterly leading to an argument and a tiff between them.
Q4:-What did the narrator find when he returned home late at night?
Ans:- When the narrator returned home late at night, he found that his kids and mother had gone to sleep and his wife was waiting for him sitting all by herself.
Q5:- Why did the narrator not have an appetite?
Ans:-Since the narrator had already taken his dinner to his fill outside, so obviously,he had no appetite.
