Answer: The poet calls the elephants 'Gentle giants' as they are biggest in size among all the animals but very gentle by nature. They seems to be very decent as they never hurt/kill any animal/human being.

Answer: -Elephants are not able to roam freely as they feel fear from humans. They don't have enough space to survive.
